Vehicle Registration

2110 N. A Street  On the corner of Scharbaurer & A St.
Register your vehicle within 30 days of relocating.
Registration fees vary based on the age of the vehicle or the weight of the truck.  Other fees include a $90 new resident fee and $28 for a new Texas title.  You must show proof of Texas insurance and current Texas State inspection.  432-688-4810

Driver's License

Change your license within 30 days of relocating.
If moving within Texas, the fee is $10 for a duplicate license with a change of address only.  You can go to            the Texas Dept of Public Safety office (DPS), or you can get a duplicate license online at: www.txdps.state.tx.us.          I have done this, and it is very efficient and easy!  If moving from outside of Texas, the fee is $24.  You must provide proof of insurance and take a vision test at the DPS office located at 2405 S. Loop 250 West.  432-498-2366

Mail Delivery

If you have a community mailbox, contact the post office nearest you and give them your new address.  They will tell you your box number and notify your mail carrier to change the lock on your box.  The mail carrier will deliver the key to your home.

Pets

Dogs & Cats must be vaccinated annually and have an annual city license through a veterinarian.  The license tag is $7. We recommend:  Greenbelt Animal Hospital.  Midland has a leash law, but also has a dog park at Hogan Park where your pets may freely play.

Voter Registration

Registration is available when you apply for a Texas Driver's license, or by stopping by 2110 N. A Steet.  432-688-4890

Public School

To enroll you will need proof of residency (an electic bill, lease agreement, etc), shot records, birth certificate, a copy of the last report card, and to expedite the process, withdrawal paper work from your previous school. 
Most elementary schools are in session from 8:10am to 3:10pm.  The Jr High and Freshman schools are in session from 8:40am to 3:40pm, and the Senior High schools are in session from 8:40am-3:55pm.
